In Seven (7) Countries
As a follow up from the 2nd African Youth SDGs Summit and build up to the 3rd African Youth SDGs Summit scheduled to take place in June 2020, the 2030 Youth Alliance through the Summit’s Alumni country groups and members of the Alliance, national level enagements on the SDGs are being hosted in Ivory Coast, Kenya, Liberia, Mali, Malawi, Uganda & Zimbabwe to mobilize local actions and promote the active participation of the youth in national level accountability processes on the SDGs. These engagements are scheduled to take place between September and November, 2019 with each country with specific date within this time frame.

Listen to the FIRST webinar edition of ‘African Youth: Powering the Sustainable Development Goals’. This first practical webinar provides key insights and tools on how young people can hold their Government accountable to SDG implementation and monitoring at national, regional and global levels.
Second Webinar was Held on May 16, 2019
Listen to the second in the series ‘African Youth: Powering the SDGs’. It was an opportunity for young people across the Africa region to share reflections on the main outcomes and agreed on actions from the African Regional Forum on Sustainable Development (ARFSD) that took place in Marrakech, Morocco from 16 – 18 April 2019. The webinar also provided a platform for young people in the region to discuss their expectations of and plans for engaging in the United Nations High-Level Political Forum (HLPF) in New York from 9 – 18 July 2019. Finally, the webinar shared the latest updates on the SDG Summit taking place from 24 – 25 September 2019, and provide an overview of potential avenues for young people to engage in this global advocacy platform.
